Our task is to identify - on behalf of our principals - needs and project ideas for common research efforts, where we take responsibility for project planning, finding financial resources and organizing projects on their own merits, be they of a long range character for developing new knowledge and competence or more focused efforts to reach specific goals. All our projects will aim at results of vital interest for practical applications in the industry, for the research community and the society in broad terms.

Current projects are primarily related to rock mechanics design, rock reinforcement, grouting and sealing of tunnels, sustainability and environmental protection.
The projects are performed as commissioned research at universities or by specialists from BeFo's member companys.
